Book Review: The Art of War

The Art of War by Sun Tzu is quite literally the worst book I have ever read in my life, but I suppose it is true to a part of its title "war" --- not much of an art though.

If you are looking for a huge list of mostly common sense actions, ideas on how to kill people in a war, strategic hints on how your enemy behaves and how to best them, and a few ideas on how to treat your soldiers well to gain trust so they will die for you (this last one is probably the only useful idea for leadership...without the die part), all written in poorly translated English expressions and words, then this is the book for you. Maybe the original version is better? This book is seriously outdated. I don't understand its popularity or how it would be useful for today's leaders.

For leadership, there are better books out there. I do NOT recommend this book.
